It blows my mind that my 2-year-old future nephew already knows the word “iPod.” Not so much that he knows it, but that it has been a natural part of his upbringing and vocabulary since the day he was born.
So…nothing groundbreaking, but I just needed to put that into perspective/feel old for a moment.

A little reflection.
It’s crazy to me that this time last year, I was all prepared to make the big move up to DC. I didn’t have a job lined up per se, but I had a museum gig that would have been an incredible experience. (Figuring out how to pay for living expenses was a whole other venture that I have no idea how I would have sorted out, but I’m sure something would have worked.)

It may just be my affinity for Christmas attire and all things purple, but I might have a dirty secret to share: I kind of like tacky Christmas sweaters and other obnoxious holiday clothes. (I think they’re festive and fun.)

Motivation (with cookies).
Sometimes it takes things like a minor car accident, a whopper of a ticket, and a Christmas cookie to get me motivated again.
Not to mention a good cry after a call from my mom. I don’t care if I’m supposed to be a grown-up sometimes.
